The Pathways’ Nonprofit Fundamentals workshops help your organization thrive by improving your knowledge of how to run a successful nonprofit. These courses are for nonprofit organizations based in the 18 counties of Western North Carolina. We offer two sessions per year, Fall and Spring. You can earn a Nonprofit Fundamentals Certificate by completing eight classes from either fall or spring sessions.

If you have any questions regarding scholarships, please email us at [email protected]. *Due to limited attendance per online class, a maximum of up to 3 registrants per organization can register for each class. Please contact us if you have any questions.
If you are affiliated with a nonprofit in western North Carolina (as staff, board, or volunteer), upon completion of each course, you will be eligible for FREE follow-up support to help you implement what you learn back at your organization. Coaching will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis and will be dependent on instructor availability. To qualify, your organization must be based and serving one of the 18 WNC counties in our region.
Fundamentals workshops are free for participants from WNC nonprofit organizations with budgets under $50,000 (email us at [email protected] to register). For those with budgets over $50,000, the cost of each online course is $50 per person. Pathways is committed to making these courses accessible to all nonprofit leaders in WNC. If you would like to attend, but the cost is a barrier, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at [email protected]. Spanish language interpretation will be available. Please let us know if you have any special accommodation needs. It is requested that individuals requiring auxiliary aids such as sign language interpreters and alternative format materials notify us at least seven working days in advance. WNC Nonprofit Pathways offers a limited number of need-based scholarships per class, per semester, and per organization. Students may receive only one scholarship per semester unless otherwise approved by Pathways. To provide equitable opportunity, priority for scholarships funds will be given to organizations based in rural areas, those with historically marginalized leaders, and those with limited funds for professional development. *indicates required field
