Position Overview
Oversees the Foundation’s financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate accounting, reporting, and compliance. Responsibilities include preparing and entering journal entries; maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, including cash, investments, and endowed funds; and managing the full accounts payable process, deposits, and fund transfers. Produces monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and supports project managers in the financial oversight of Foundation awards and private grants. Ensures compliance through preparation of state and federal filings, including NC sales and use tax returns, nonprofit refund claims, Forms 1099/1096, and IRS Form 990. Coordinates audit preparation and assists with review of audited financial statements. Provides backup support for financial processes, assists with special projects, and supports the Executive Director on financial matters, including the management and stewardship of endowment funds.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: 32-hour position. Range: $38,787.00-$58,181.00, Annually
