Position Summary
The CACFP Specialist is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) in alignment with Head Start Performance Standards and federal and state regulations. This role provides day-to-day oversight of program requirements, ensuring consistent, high-quality nutrition services across all program sites.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage CACFP operations in accordance with federal, state, and Head Start Performance Standards
  2. Complete CACFP applications, renewals, amendments, and required reports
  3. Ensure all CACFP documentation is accurate, complete, and properly maintained
  4. Track and support corrective actions related to compliance findings
  5. Conduct monitoring visits across program sites and complete required documentation
  6. Review CACFP binders and records to ensure audit readiness

Compensation & Benefits

  1. Salary Range: $40,000 – $48,000 annually
  2. Benefits available (details provided by employer)

Requirements

  1. Experience with program compliance, monitoring, or administration
  2. Strong organizational and documentation skills
  3. Ability to interpret and apply federal and state regulations
  4. Experience with CACFP, Head Start, or similar programs preferred
  5. Ability to travel between program sites as needed
