Provides direct services and support to survivors in our shelter for Domestic Violence/Sexual Violence survivors. SAFE wants to ensure that all victims of domestic and sexual abuse find safety, are treated with dignity and respect, and get access to the opportunities and services they need to create long-lasting changes that will result in a life free of domestic and sexual abuse. Working Description: Responsible for the safety and security of the facility throughout the night, by being alert and routinely monitoring the building, cameras, and security system, to ensure the safety of all occupants. Answers the 24-hour crisis phone line. Helps ensure the facility is clean and safe by performing general cleaning duties and safety checks. Utilizes crisis intervention techniques and can identify potential conflicts and intervene effectively. Ensures client needs are met, such as access to linens, personal care items, food, etc. Completes shelter client night intakes and exits as needed. Checks E-mails throughout the shift to efficiently communicate with all SAFE staff as needed. Accurately and routinely documents client interactions Must be committed to the agencies mission.
