WNC Nonprofit Pathways partnered with Dr. Heather Rimes at Western Carolina University to conduct a study of compensation patterns among nonprofit executive teams in Western North Carolina. The study will help us better understand compensation patterns, assess potential barriers to equitable employment, and empower organizations in the sector to be advocates for the needs of their employees.

By conducting this study at a regional level, we have developed a unique data set that reflects the WNC nonprofit environment and provides information to nonprofit professionals to support discussions of compensation practices.

The results are publicly available for download and are provided as a resource to nonprofit and philanthropic leaders as well as anyone who has an interest in the policies shaping the nonprofit community in western North Carolina.
