Mission Statement: changing lives together, with health and hope

Description of mission and primary service: The Free Clinics is a safety net health organization serving Henderson and Polk Counties. We offer 26 different programs in the areas of acute care, behavioral health care, chronic & specialty care, community health, innovative primary care, and pharmaceutical support. In 2021-22 we served 2700 vulnerable clients. Our clinical outcomes for patients better the outcomes of commercially insured persons in NC. The NC Healthcare Association analysis reveals a 70% reduction in inappropriate utilization in hospital emergency departments upon a person’s enrollment in our care.
