SUMMARY:Getting to the Core: Managing Your Organization’s Finances in Uncertain Times
DESCRIPTION:Nonprofits across WNC are facing increased financial instability due to Hurricane Helene\, funding freezes\, and broader shifts in the funding landscape. Organizations are reporting uncertainty about their long-term sustainability\, increased operational strain\, and a need for guidance in making responsible financial and strategic decisions in this environment. \nWNC Nonprofit Pathways is offering this virtual session for organizations based in and serving WNC to help assess risks and identify opportunities related to financial sustainability and organizational future. \nWade Rogers\, CPA\, will guide participants through key concepts in financial risk assessment\, including how to analyze and identify organizational needs. Greg Walker Wilson will then help translate that analysis into actionable contingency strategies\, such as collaboration\, consolidation\, or merger considerations. \nParticipants will receive practical tools and resources\, with limited\, needs-based follow-up support available. \nRegister HERE. \nCost: $15. This event will be held virtually via Zoom.  A link will be sent to you once you register. This session will be recorded and sent to all registrants following the event.

SUMMARY:Nonprofit Fundamentals: Designing Programs with Outcomes in Mind (May 6 & 7 - two-part series)
DESCRIPTION:*this is a two-part workshop held online via Zoom\, three hours each day (total of 6 hours) to complete class\, May 6 & 7; 9:30am – 12:30 pm. Click HERE to register. \nUsing the principles of co-design\, we’ll learn how to partner with the individuals whom programs are designed to serve by mapping out the most important parts of their experiences and the desired results they hope to achieve.  We’ll cover how to use participatory techniques to serve as a pathway for involving and centering participant experiences\, not only in the design of programs\, but also when identifying the outcomes which matter most to program participants.  In this course\, we’ll discuss how to: \n\nMap and design a program with rather than for the people whom the program is meant to serve\nIdentify the ABCs of change that program participants may experience\nFrame meaningful and measurable outcomes\nContinuously gather actionable feedback for your organization\, using standard and non-traditional methods\n\nPlease note: This course is highly interactive and less lecture based.  In addition to Zoom\, we’ll use breakout rooms and Google Slides for group activities and large group discussions. This course is taught by Lauren Rayburn.
