SUMMARY:Nonprofit Fundamentals: Communication Fundamentals (May 14 & 15 - two part series)
DESCRIPTION:*this is a two part workshop held online via Zoom\, three hours each day (total of 6 hours) to complete class\, May 14 & 15; 9:30am – 12:30 pm. Click HERE to register. \nThis interactive workshop will ground you in the key basics of communication so you can develop communication strategies and plans for your organization’s stakeholders and audiences. Communicating clearly and persuasively remains a valuable skillset\, especially given today’s growing proliferation of internet technology and social media tools.\nThe workshop will provide you with insights\, approaches\, and confidence for addressing and accomplishing your organization’s pressing communication goals- e.g. increasing mission awareness or raising support.\nYou will learn how to :\n• Clarify your organization’s attributes and value.\n• Identify audiences and markets to reach.\n• Integrate story telling techniques into communication efforts.\n• Build a long-term communication strategy.\n• Craft a communication action plan.\n• Prepare in advance for crisis communication situations. \nThis class is taught by Stacey Millett. \nCost per online class is $50. Classes are designed to be affordable and are free for organizations with a budget under $50K\, contact us for details. Pathways is committed to making these courses accessible to all nonprofit leaders in WNC.
