The Major Gifts Officer will strategically engage a pipeline of new and retained prospects through a defined portfolio of donors giving at the $5,000+ level or with the potential to give at that level or above. This individual will actively work this portfolio of donors to create meaningful interactions including in and out of that portfolio. The Major Gifts Officer is expected to be able to quickly craft and implement engagement, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for the existing AHS prospect base as well as leverage relationships with members of the Board of Directors, staff and other donors to identify new prospects. The Major Gifts Officer is expected to move prospects through all stages of the development lifecycle (identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship) and be comfortable with a large number of prospects in need of qualification and cultivation. This position plays a pivotal role in growing AHS’s capacity by identifying potential major gifts and helping to establish a strong pipeline for the Major Gift program.
