The Housing Program is looking for an individual that is compassionate, a strong advocate, and has an understanding of mental illness and substance use. This position is responsible for providing housing-based services and supports to homeless individuals and families. Services rendered are designed to foster independent living and improve the quality of life for these individuals, respecting each individual’s preferences in level of independence and location, consistent with an evidenced-based Housing First model.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services preferred. Must be patient and have knowledge of the complex needs of individuals who are homeless and who have behavioral health and substance use. Prior experience working with this population is highly desirable. This employee must have good interpersonal skills. Also must have a valid driver’s license and 5 year clear driving record. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
