Fundraising will constitute 40-50% of the Executive Director position. This will include donor cultivation, grant writing, written correspondence, articles for publication, and gathering pertinent statistics. Educational program planning and evaluation, oversight of shelter finances, facilities needs, and supervisory responsibilities will comprise the balance of duties. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with governmental and community partners is also a priority. The candidate must possess a thorough knowledge of, and dedication to, the philosophies of animal welfare. The Executive Director reports to the MCAR Board of Directors. This is a full- time, year-round, salaried position.
