Each Fall Pathways hosts a Nonprofit Leadership Forum, focusing on a timely topic in the nonprofit field and all are invited to attend. The Forum combines practical knowledge and inspiration, delivered by experienced practitioners from our sector.

2023 - Create Magnetic Workplaces and Sustainable Spaces

Keynote speakers Nicole Norian, Karl Pierre Louis, and Sarah Fletcher Daniels focused on providing  a Human Resource workday.  Topics covered were reviewing existing policies and procedures and creating new ones, apply transformative techniques that celebrate differences. and
incorporate alternative incentives supported by emerging human resource practices.  And optimize nonprofit leaders’ capacity, utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to demystify & create accountability measures. 


2022 - Shifting from Surviving to Thriving

Keynote speaker Ericka Hines of Every Level Leadership  presented “Shifting from Surviving to Thriving” for this year’s Leadership Forum.  Topics included examining the impact of DEI work, and understanding the importance of her Black Women Thriving report, and learning the perspectives of black women in our 18 county region. 

2021 - What's Next? Leading Forward with Purpose and Intentionality

Keynote speaker Jeanne Bell talked about what it means to have come through a global pandemic rapidly adapting ourselves and our organizations, serving our communities, and keeping our nonprofits afloat. We’ve met extraordinary challenges head-on, and learned a lot along the way.

2019 - Real Talk: Integrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Across Your Organization

Keynote speakers Ericka Hines and Patti Digh led an interactive discussion with a one-on-one conversation focused on how to be more assertive about DEI in organizations.  Topics included how to assess who we are serving, what it takes to do effective DEI work in organizations and whose responsibility it is. The group also participated in a fast-moving exercise to develop, iterate, and share tips and tools pertaining to DEI work.

2018 – Expanding Your Fundraising In These Fascinating Times

Keynote speakers Ericka Hines and Patti Digh led an interactive discussion with a one-on-one conversation focused on how to be more assertive about DEI in organizations.  Topics included how to assess who we are serving, what it takes to do effective DEI work in organizations and whose responsibility it is. The group also participated in a fast-moving exercise to develop, iterate, and share tips and tools pertaining to DEI work.

Internationally known speaker and author, Kim Klein, led an engaging discussion on how to build equity and inclusion into your fundraising program, how to find prospects in rural areas, and how to start or expand a major donor program.

2017 – Bring Your Brave Face! We’re Gonna Talk Race, Equity, and Inclusion

Keynote speaker Denise Barreto, Entrepreneur, author and TEDx speaker, discussed the sudden urgency driving equity and inclusive leadership and why it’s so difficult for the majority of America’s leaders to act.

2016 – The Digital Leap: Your Insider’s Guide to Online Fundraising

Keynote speaker Alia McKee principal of Sea Change Strategies, presented a big picture overview of online fundraising as well as practical ideas for growing an online program.

2015 – Bridging Generations in Nonprofits: Strengthening Our Sector and its Leaders

Keynote speaker Frances Kunreuther, co-director of the Building Movements Project, addressed questions of the generational shift in the nonprofit sector including myths and realities in the workplace, how organizations deal with generational shifts, and how to plan for the next phase.

2014 – Collective Impact: From Common Goals to Uncommon Results

Keynote speaker Robert Albright of FSG presented the case for Collective Impact, an exciting new trend in nonprofit collaboration. A panel of local nonprofit leaders, in the trenches with this leading edge work, also shared their experiences and insight.

2013 – Charting Leadership Success, Now and in the Future

Author and facilitator Denice Hinden of Managance Consulting provided interactive learning on how to develop and maintain effective board and staff leaders, as well as prepare for the inevitable leadership changes ahead in any nonprofit’s future.

2012 – Building A Better Board

Accomplished trainer, consultant, author (and nonprofit board member) Stephanie Roth provided hands-on guidance to help nonprofit staff and board members prepare for 21st century success.
