This position is responsible to determine, formulate and implement strategies and policies to effectively and efficiently manage the on-going operations of the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), HCV Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS), and HCV Homeownership programs as well as evaluate, recommend, and oversee new opportunities for various housing programs to include potential housing development activities. This individual works with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in providing leadership in planning, designing, implementing and evaluating program systems.
Duties and responsibilities of this position are performed with wide latitude for independent judgment and decision making. The Director of Housing Programs has the authority to manage all activities of the Housing Department. The Director of Housing Programs represents the agency when working with funding sources. Federal regulations, North Carolina statutes, and agency policy limit the Director of Housing Programs.
