The Director of Early Childhood Education develops and implements curriculum activities that promote children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth for later success in school. This position is responsible for establishing policies and procedures that will ensure consistent North Carolina 5-star certification and compliance with Early Head Start guidelines. The Director is a member of the senior leadership team of the YWCA and is responsible for providing quality early care and education; creating and sustaining a racially diverse community of learning, love, and creativity that ensures that children are academically, socially, physically, and emotionally ready for school. The position supervises a staff of fourteen to seventeen full-time employees and is full-time, benefits eligible and exempt.
