This position is responsible for assisting in the creation and implementation of the fund development plan. 20 hours weekly position. Duties include grant applications and reports, event development/management, acknowledgement and recording of donations, and writing press releases, website, newsletter, and social media content. Exceptional Communication Skills are a must. Member of Association of Fundraising Professionals preferred. The Development Associate works closely with development staff, Executive Director, management team, board members, and volunteers to sustain a year-round comprehensive program. Must have a valid NC Driver’s License with a 5-year clear driving record. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
