Judy has been writing grants for nonprofit organizations for 35 years. She has experience with all types of grants – from small private foundations to large federal government grants. She has 17 years of supervisory experience. She has developed and implemented positive employee evaluation processes using the tools of Appreciative Inquiry, Self Directed, and 360 Evaluation. Judy is currently the Principal and Owner of Imago Development – providing grant writing services, grant research, program and organization development, editing and community building support to the nonprofit community.
The philosophy that Judy employs in her work with Imago Development is based in relationship building. A relationship is built with the nonprofit organization to develop a clear understanding of organizational strengths and needs and with funding sources to make strong lasting partnerships to develop programs and services.
Grant writing is a collaborative process between the organization and the writer. We work together to build a strong proposal. Imago Development researches potential funding sources and strives to make the best match possible between your organizational need and a foundation’s priorities. Successful matching between these two is a proven strategy. The success rate for applications where this process is followed is 75% or better.
Judy has experience in writing grants for all types of nonprofit organizations. She has worked with newly forming small grassroots organizations, church groups, housing providers, battered women’s organizations, providers of services to those who are homeless, health care providers and statewide organizations. She has taught grant writing to many groups and individuals.
