Raising Funds Effectively was created to train paid staff and unpaid volunteers learn how to raise more money for their causes. I teach, coach and support volunteers and staff to raise contributions sothey benefit from experiencing the philanthropic exchange.
I have purposely worked in a broad range of organizational types such as healthcare, academic, grass roots organizations, enviromental and arts organizations to determine their commonalities and uniquenesses.
I enjoy working on specific projects such as capital campaigns or Board development, and love to train folks within an organization so they can understand the best development concepts and how they apply to their particular organization.
On-going relationships such as monthly coaching calls provide me great joy, as I help the organizaiton change its methodology to become more successful.
My first book, How to Start and Run a Nonprofit, was published by Barnes and Noble in 2006 and sold out in 2007. I am currently co-writing a book entitled Daily Practices for God’s People, helping individuals learn how to engage in a deeper way with God.
I do not take a percentage of money raised but charge on an hourly or project basis.
